• Research conducted in November 2021 focused on 17 countries with advanced economies.
• Out of the 17 countries, 14 chose "Family" as the most meaningful aspect of their lives.

• Safety
• Political freedom
• Effective government response to the COVID-19 pandemic
• Taiwan's residents particularly appreciate:
• Well-managed economy
• Accessible healthcare
• Effective pandemic control measures.

The Happiest Country in the World?

• According to the 2023 World Happiness Report, Taiwan was ranked as the 27th happiest country globally.
• In the Asian region, Taiwan was surpassed in happiness rankings by Singapore, which was positioned as the second happiest country.

• An expat is a foreigner residing outside their home country.

• Taiwan has consistently ranked in the top 5 for healthcare-related factors in the Expat Insider survey since 2016.
