Celebrate!!
This looks like:
- Create a CSA for skill being assessed.
- Create CFAs as checkpoints.
- Create lessons and activities that focus the skill.
- How will you model the skill?
- What cooperative, skills-based activities can you do?
- What does independent practice for the skill look like?
- Setting Norms:
- Build a safe environment for teachers with a shared vision and goals
- Have a Facilitator:
- This helps the team engage in conversations that promote learning, risk taking, and innovation.
- Reteach
- Based on data, this may be whole class, small group, or individual (as needed)
- Reassess Learning
- Repeat cycle or seek out high Tier 3 intervention if needed.
- Deliver the Lesson(s)
- Give Common Assessment
- Analyze the Data.
- The next step splits into two plans, based on the results of the common assessment.
- Essential Standard
- For the Unit: Name the Essential Standard and list any supporting standards that you may need.
- Understand the Standard
- As a team: Break down the standard(s) and create your learning objectives for mastery.
- Enrich and Deepen understanding
- This may be done by other team members if you all decide to use that strategy.
- Create a product that demonstrates mastery of skill.
- Discuss the best practices with your team and bank them for later
- Talk about what was and was not successful.
- Proceed to the next Standard and start the process again.
