The first day for the LIttle Rock 9 got very violent, and lots of people got hurt.

Guards had to take the students into the school

The Little Rock 9 who were black students.

Nine Black children were testing if segregation would work in an all white high school, taking place in 1957. It proved that segregation would work if they did it. It also rised more tension between blacks and whites. Understanding the blacks were capable of learning at a white school scared whites.

This was the result of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

THis was the Montgomery Bus Boycott in action after Rosa Parks arrestment.

This was day the of Rosa's arrestment because she broke a law on the bus.

Rosa Parks sat in the all-white section of the bus, so she was arrested. This happened in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955. It started a boycott that no one would ride the bus if you were black. The boycott ended because of the Supreme Court ruled that segregation on buses was unconstitutional.

Protests were brought to the streets to get more attention.

After days, the protest had over 100 people!

Greensboro Sit-ins

In Greensboro, February 1st, 1960, 4 black college students went to a white-only counter and sat there the whole day. They did a peaceful protest to protest against the segregation. This inspired many other people to do peaceful protests on segregated facilities like public pools, bars, restaurants, etc.
