Position Management Explained
A position’s full time equivalent (FTE) is based upon the budget for salaries and wages, which determines how many positions are required within a unit. Once a position exists in the system, a requisition can be created. The creation of the requisition triggers the recruitment process for new candidates. If a team member leaves SSP America, the position will then become vacant and the same process will occur. If a team member is transferred/promoted from one role to another, the incumbent team member must be removed from the position, so it is vacant. It is only then that a new team member can be recruited. To better understand the rationale here, picture SSP America as a table. The chairs around the table are the positions, and the team members can only sit in vacant chairs.
All About Success Factors
Q. What is SuccessFactors SuccessFactors is a comprehensive cloud-based human capital management system that serves as the central location for employee data and the management of the employee lifecycle. Organizations use SuccessFactors to manage various aspects of people operations, including recruitment, , people analytics, payroll and learning activities. 7,500 companies use SuccessFactors. Around 125 million people around the world use SuccessFactors. Q. Why do we need to change? SSP America is a rapidly growing business, but many of our current processes and systems are manual and not integrated. Globally SuccessFactors is being rolled out across the company which will give us access to consistent, real-time up-to-date data. Q. What does this mean for me? SuccessFactors offers an automated self-help function that will transform the way our team members find out and access their information at just the touch of a button. Team members will be available anytime, anywhere, and on any device
