How to play

Rollthe dice!

You have arrived at a snake! Oh no! Perform a task, or be sent back down to the head of the snake. Do a vibrato practice. If you don't know vibrato, do a bow poem instead.

You have arrived at a ladder! Congratulations! Play a minor scale to move up the ladder. If you don't know one, roll the die again.

You have arrived at the top of a ladder! Oops! If you just came from the bottom of the ladder, you are safe. Avoid being sent back down the ladder. Play through the latest song you are learning from the beginning until the farthest spot you know.

You have arrived at a ladder! Congratulations! Practice a part of the song that you are working on right now 5 times and move up the ladder.

You have arrived at a ladder! Congratulations! Play a two octave scale to move up the ladder. If you don't know one, play the scale you are working on, or play the Monkey song.

You have arrived at a snake! Oh no! Perform a task, or be sent back down to the head of the snake. Pick a song with shifting/low 1/high 3/ 4th finger and practice those parts 5 times. If you don't know any of these, play Twinkle Watermelon.

SO CLOSE! But, you have arrived at the final snake! Perform a task, or be sent back down to the head of the snake. Play a song you really don't like. Play as much as you can handle. You can do it, you are just one step away from finishing the game!

INSTRUCTIONSEach player starts with a token on the starting square. Players take turns rolling a single die to move their token by the number of squares indicated by the die roll.Along the trail there are squares with special instructions for a task. Players who landed in a square with the instructions will need to perform the task in order to stay in the game. LaddersWhen a player lands on a square wth a ladder, follow the instruction and perform a task in order to move the token up from the lower-numbered square to the higher-numbered square, or perform the task to avoid getting demoted from a higher-numbered square to a lower-numbered square. SnakesIf the player lands on the higher-numbered square of a "snake" (or chute), the player must perform the task indicated or the token will be moved down to the snake's lower-numbered square. The player who is first to bring their token to the last square of the track is the winner.
