Aiming at Grade X

Century is the main software that you will use for a lot of your GCSE Maths course. It is also used by the other Maths & English courses/tutors in the College. We have used Century for several years, each year I try to learn and adapt. Specifically, the number of tasks on Century can be overwhelming (over 700 for the foundation course). To remedy this and some other thoughts as well. Within Century I have devised different courses depending on which grade you are aiming for, each comprising of 100 tasks (nuggets). Complete all 100 to a good standard through the year and you should feel confident of achieving the grade you were aiming for. Each term I will provide you with some of these nuggets, building up to all 100 by the end of the year.

Your choice - BUT DONT CHANGE YOUR MIND

Red exercise book and red folder for storage.

Transparent folder and punched paper.

Lightweight, takes less space. Greener - recycling previous exercise book paper.

Easier to flick through pages. Bit more comfortable to write on.

November Resits

November Resit exams are always very early in the year, this leaves us with little time to teach you before they start. As a result you need to think carefully what to spend time on lesson time to maximise the impact to you as an individual.
