In the example discussion, students are discussing the questions 'To what extent do you think techniques such as Pomodoro help students to focus on their study?' and 'Is working from home and studying online more likely to lead to procrastination?' in relation to the recording you have just listened to. Start watching the discussion from 5.00 mins. After watching the discussion complete the following tasks: 1. Make notes on all the students' ability to interact positively during the discussion. Interacting positively means creating a positive atmosphere in the group, it can also mean showing that you are listening and that you are interested in what others are saying. 2. List 5 examples of good functional discussion language from the example discussion. Functional language means useful discussion language that YOU could use in any discussion. Example: "I'm sorry I don't understand what you said - can you repeat that?"
