CHELSEA

After a shocking previous campaign, finishing 12th, the Chelsea circus rolls in to town again for the 23-24 season. Half the squad have been sold, some new faces have arrived, who knows where the £600million player investments will take The Blues. Record signing Fernandez will be expected to run the midfield, with Nkunku arriving from Leipzig to score the goals sorely missing last season.

MANAGER: MAURICIO POCHETTINOKEY PLAYER: ENZO FERNANDEZ BEST NEW SIGNING: CHRISTOPHER NKUNKU TITLE ODDS: 17/1 TOP 4 FINISH: 13/8

NORWICH CITY

An underwhelming last campaign having been relegated from the Premier League the season before, City will be expecting more this season. USA international Josh Sargent will be pivotal to any chances of success, with new signing Ashley Barnes adding experience up top following the departure of talisman Teemu Pukki. Top 6 would be a good season.

MANAGER: DAVID WAGNERKEY PLAYER: JOSH SARGENT BEST NEW SIGNING: ASHLEY BARNES TITLE ODDS: 16/1 TO BE PROMOTED: 5/1

SHEFFIELD UNITED

Sheffield United are welcomed back to the big stage after finishing 2nd in the Championship last season. It's going to be tough, and a finishing position of 17th would be a huge success. Further investment in the squad will be required if there's to be any chance of an extended stay in the league. Iliman Ndiaye scored a handful of goals last season, can he make the step up?

MANAGER: PAUL HECKINGBOTTOMKEY PLAYER: ILIMAN NDIAYE BEST NEW SIGNING: BENIE TRAORE TOP HALF FINISH: 20/1 TO BE RELEGATED: 4/5

ARSENAL

An outstanding second place finish last season has given the Gunners hope of going one better this time around. Squad strengthening, in particular England midielder Declan Rice, should ensure that Arsenal can go close again. Captain Odegaard pulling the strings in midfield is hugely important with his 15 goals/7 assists in league games last season.

MANAGER: MIKEL ARTETAKEY PLAYER: MARTIN ODEGAARD BEST NEW SIGNING: DECLAN RICE PRE-SEASON TITLE ODDS: 11/2 TOP 4 FINISH ODDS: 1/2

*ODDS CORRECT AT TIME OF WRITING*

BRENTFORD

A great 22-23 campaign saw Brentford comfortably finish inside the top half of the league. Talismanic striker Ivan Toney may be missing for the start of the new season, but will still be instrumental to Brentford's successes, or otherwise, this campaign. Record signing Nathan Collins has been brought in to shore up the defense, costing £23 million from Wolves.

MANAGER: THOMAS FRANKKEY PLAYER: IVAN TONEY BEST NEW SIGNING: NATHAN COLLINS TOP 6 FINISH ODDS: 16/1 TOP HALF FINISH: 5/2

CRYSTAL PALACE

The epitome of a mid-table team, Palace never seem to push on to greater things, but are rarely overly concerned looking over their shoulder. Many players have left this summer, including the dangerous Wilfried Zaha, with not too many faces coming in. England international Eberechi Eze will be a creative outlet, much needed for the low scoring Eagles.

MANAGER: ROY HODGSONKEY PLAYER: EBERECHI EZE BEST NEW SIGNING: JEFFERSON LERMA TOP 7 FINISH ODDS: 10/1 TO BE RELEGATED: 7/1

*ODDS CORRECT AT TIME OF WRITING*

NEWCASTLE UNITED

An excellent season for the mega-rich Newcastle last season saw them finish 4th and qualify for Champions League football. Guimaraes runs the show in midield, and new signing Tonali from Milan will mean the Magpies can control games from that central core. If Callum Wilson can keep fit, he will score goals. It remains to be seen whether the squad depth can replicate last campaign's successes.

MANAGER: EDDIE HOWEKEY PLAYER: BRUNO GUIMARAES BEST NEW SIGNING: SANDRO TONALI TITLE ODDS: 18/1 TOP 4 FINISH: 7/4

EVERTON

Barely surviving the drop last season, Everton seem to be sailing close to the wind over the last few campaigns. Financial woes have resulted in a perpetual struggle, will this be the season their luck runs out? Sean Dyche knows how to set a team up however, and without Jordan Pickford between the sticks they may well have found themselves in the Championship this season. Another season of struggle looks likely.

MANAGER: SEAN DYCHEKEY PLAYER: JORDAN PICKFORD BEST NEW SIGNING: ASHLEY YOUNG TOP HALF FINISH: 4/1 TO BE RELEGATED: 7/2

WEST HAM

An up-and-down 22-23 season for West Ham, where they flirted with relegation for a while, before winning a European trophy for the first time in decades. The loss of Declan Rice to Arsenal will leave a huge hole to fill, and investment in the squad is vital to ensure safety. Jarrod Bowen remains dangerous as a wide attacking threat. A lower mid-table finish seems most likely.

MANAGER: DAVID MOYESKEY PLAYER: JARROD BOWEN BEST NEW SIGNING: jAMES WARD-PROWSE TOP HALF FINISH: 11/8 TO BE RELEGATED: 14/1

*ODDS CORRECT AT TIME OF WRITING*

BURNLEY

Burnley's exciting brand of football, led by ex-Man City captain Vincent Kompany, walked the Championship last season with 101 points. It's to be seen how well the squad can adapt to the Premier League, and if key midfielder Josh Brownhill can make the step up to the big time. Experienced winger Nathan Redmond has been added to the squad, but they will need to strengthen further.

MANAGER: VINCENT KOMPANYKEY PLAYER: JOSH BROWNHILL BEST NEW SIGNING: NATHAN REDMOND TO STAY UP: 4/11 TOP HALF FINISH: 8/1

*ODDS CORRECT AT TIME OF WRITING*

MAN CITY

Treble winners last season, can Pep keep the squad motivated and driven to continue their success this campaign? Probably, given the talent across the squad, and with the unstoppable Haaland averaging around a goal a game. City are aiming for their 6th league title in 7 years, and not many would bet against them. Other teams know the standard they need to beat to have a chance.

MANAGER: PEP GUARDIOLAKEY PLAYER: ERLING HAALAND BEST NEW SIGNING: MATEO KOVACIC TITLE ODDS: 5/6 TO GO UNBEATEN: 22/1

*ODDS CORRECT AT TIME OF WRITING*

WOLVES

Another team that struggled for most of the last campaign, before pulling away towards the end to ensure their safety. Matheus Nunes is the driving force in midfield, and Matheus Cunha will be expected to score the goals, arriving from Atletico Madrid for around £50 million this summer. Somewhere between 13th - 17th seems the most likely finishing position this season.

LUTON

A surprise package, winning the play-offs last season to achieve their first foray in to the Premier League. It's going to be tough, as the odds suggest, but striker Carlton Morris knows where the back of the net is, and former Man Utd winger Chong can be a creative influence. Work is being undertaken to improve Kennilworth Road, which currently can only accommodate just over 10,000 fans.

FULHAM

A great last campaign, faltering towards the end but still finishing in 10th, can be classed as a huge success. But second season syndrome is very real, and Fulham need to be wary of complacency. Joao Palhinha could very well be playing for a 'bigger' club and runs the midfield well. Centre back Calvin Bassey has arrived from Ajax to bolster the back line. As likely to finish top half as to go down.

LIVERPOOL

A disappointing 5th place finish last season means no Champions League for Liverpool this coming season. A freshen up of the squad, including the signing of World Cup winner Mac Allister from Brighton, means the expectations this season will be a title challenge with a top 4 finish the minimum requirement. Goal machine Salah will likely be the main man again.

BRIGHTON

An exceptional 22-23 campaign saw Brighton finishing in 6th place, earning qualification for the Europa League. A few big names leaving the squad, with a few coming in, means it's difficult to guage how well Brighton will fare this season. Flying Japanese winger Mitoma will be a key player, with new signing Joao Pedro from Watford expected to bang in a few goals.

TOTTENHAM

A disappointing last campaign, with more drama off the pitch than on it, saw Spurs finish in 8th place and without qualification for European football. Will Kane stay or will he go? Harry is beyond vital to the team's chances of success this season, and the signing of James Maddison from Leicester should ensure more creativity in the centre of the pitch. A top 4 finish must be the aim this season.

IPSWICH TOWN

A successful last campaign for The Tractor Boys, finishing 2nd in league 1 and achieving automatic promotion. Time will tell if they can consolidate in The Championship, where clubs can be as likely to go up as they are to go down. Last season's player of the year Conor Chaplin will need to deliver the goods if Ipswich are to have a productive campaign.

ASTON VILLA

An incredible run of form last season, after hiring Unai Emery, resulted in Villa finishing in 7th place and achieving a place in European competition for this season. Some shrewd signings means fans have real optimism for a successful next 12 months. Striker Ollie Watkins is vital to Villa's success, with 15 league goals last season.

MAN UTD

Progress is being made under manager Erik Ten Hag, with a 3rd place finish last season. Bruno Fernandes will be a key player, chipping in with goals and assists, midfield anchor Casemiro will be instrumental to any success, and Marcus Rashford, having signed a new long term contract, will need to continue the goal scoring form from the last campaign. Just getting closer to City will be a success.

BOURNEMOUTH

A 15th placed finish in their first season back in the top flight must be considered a successful 22-23 season. Bournemouth will be looking to consolidate their Premier League status under a new manager in Spaniard Andoni Iraola. Solanke will need to find the net regularly, with new signing Justin Kluivert (Son of Patrick) a likely source of creativity.

MANAGER: ANDONI IRAOLAKEY PLAYER: DOMINIC SOLANKE BEST NEW SIGNING: JUSTIN KLUIVERT TOP HALF FINISH: 8/1 TO BE RELEGATED: 5/2

NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Survival was the main objective for Forest last season, achieved by finishing 16th. They would take the same again right now, to consolidate their place in the league. Brennan Johnson was a revelation, and Forest will rely on him again to be the creative spark. Chris Wood joins permanently for around £17 million, having been on loan last season. Morgan Gibbs-White will also hope to continue last season's fine form in to this campaign.

MANAGER: STEVE COOPERKEY PLAYER: BRENNAN JOHNSON BEST NEW SIGNING: CHRIS WOOD TOP HALF FINISH: 13/2 TO BE RELEGATED: 11/4
