Harnessing digital to build an alternative to the traditional face to face model
a new approach to education
the vision
Our vision is to revolutionize education through a new digital model that empowers learners to thrive in the modern world. We envision a future where access to high-quality education is universally available, irrespective of geographical, economic, or social barriers. By leveraging the power of technology, we aim to create an inclusive and personalized learning experience that nurtures individual potential and fosters a lifelong love for learning. Our digital education model is designed to be engaging, interactive, and learner-centric. It will harness emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and gamification, to create immersive and dynamic learning environments. Through intuitive interfaces and adaptive algorithms, we will strive to tailor educational content and methodologies to the unique needs and learning styles of each student, promoting a deeper understanding and retention of knowledge. Collaboration lies at the heart of our digital education model. We aim to connect learners from around the UK and beyond, enabling them to engage in meaningful exchanges, share diverse perspectives, and develop vital communication and teamwork skills. Our platform will serve as a hub for educators, mentors, and experts, fostering a vibrant community of learners where knowledge is co-created and shared. We are committed to equipping learners with the 21st-century skills necessary for success in an ever-evolving world. Our curriculum will emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, digital literacy, and emotional intelligence. We believe in preparing learners not just for traditional academic success, but also for real-world challenges, cultivating their ability to adapt, innovate, and contribute positively to society. Sustainability and accessibility are fundamental principles of our digital education model. We aim to minimize environmental impact through paperless learning materials and energy-efficient technologies. Furthermore, we strive to bridge the digital divide by providing affordable and equitable access to our platform, reaching learners in underserved communities and empowering them to unlock their full potential. Through our new digital education model, we envision a future where education transcends traditional boundaries, inspiring lifelong learners, and fostering a more knowledgeable, interconnected, and empowered global society.
3. delivery approach
We will also be designing our delivery approach. This will map out our key milestones, along with the timescales within which we plan to achieve our aims. We will be agreeing on our strategies for building, testing, signing-off, and delivering our products.
2. design approach
We will need to consider the overall design structure of the courses we are developing. This will include drafting a skeleton of the components that will be incorporated into our overall build.
1. retrospectives
Our first step will be to evaluate our current processes; it will be imperative that we understand what is working and what needs changing as we move to develop the new products.
How will we prepare for this?
Retrospectives:
How will we provide a rounded, holistic offering in which learners feel connected to one another and their tutors regardless of distance?
How will we plan for monitoring and timely assessment and feedback throughout the course?
How will we plan our courses to ensure that learners are able to make continuous progress?
What will make our offering inspiring, engaging and innovative?
design approach:What does advanced education look like?

Structuring design approach
Initially we will need to agree on the design of the courses. This will require scrutiny of the specifications to select the best design approaches for each course. Which elements will best suit the content, and in what order should they be delivered?
Development Roadmap
Identifying resource requirements
What specialist resources will be required for this project, and at what stage? Once identified, work can begin to secure the resources needed early to ensure our work stays on schedule.
Scheduling the projects
Once we have agreed on the design framework, we will need to agree our project schedule. This should be based on being ready to deliver the first tranche of work a month before delivery is required to allow buffer time in case of unexpected delays.
delivery approach
Planning for successful delivery of our chosen design approach
Understanding dependencies
Where are the aspects of work that will impact other work on the project? Which tranches directly depend on another being completed? These should be given higher priority to ensure we can meet our milestones.
Development Roadmap
Regular reporting and communication
Making sure that all our documentation and actions are reported and up to date will be essential to allow all members of the projects to respond quickly and effectively. This will help us identify any risks and keep the projects on track.
Charting milestones
Charting milestones including when specific elements of the build should be completed by, testing windows and other milestones will help us to have confidence that the work we are doing is on track.

A little disclaimer...
This vision statement is brought to you (with minimal editing) by Chat GPT. I have purposefully left most of the statement intact to show the rate of change and also how current this approach actually is. These statements demonstrate the general elements that we need to include within our design elements to include in order to stay relevant and ahead of the curve.
