  • E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 American science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg.
  • It tells the story of Elliott, a boy who meets E.T., who is left behind on Earth.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King (1929–1968) was an American Baptist minister and civil rights activist.
  • He was assassinated in 1968.

This is Frankenstein's monster played by English actor Boris Karloff in the film Frankenstein (1931).

  • In May 1816, the English poet Lord Byron, invited Mary and her boyfriend to spend the summer in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • One night, Lord Byron proposed that they write "a ghost story".....and Mary wrote Frankenstein.
  • The book is about Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a man, the Creature, from dead bodies parts.

  • They were very intelligent.
  • They spoke several languages, for example, Latin, Greek, French, Italian, and of course, Spanish!

  • He established the Church of England because he wanted to divorce his first wife, Catherine of Aragón.
  • Henry married six times!

  • Elizabeth I (1533–1603) was Queen of England and Ireland for 44 years!
  • Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, who was executed when Elizabeth was 2 years old.
  • Elizabeth never married or had children.

  • Mary I (1516–1558), or María Tudor, was Queen of England and Ireland and later, Queen of Spain after marrying King Philip II.
  • Mary was the only child of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragón.

  • He wrote 37 plays.
  • He is the greatest writer in the English language!

Ada Lovelace

  • Ada Lovelace (1815-1852) was an English mathematician.
  • She collaborated with Charles Babbage, the inventor of the first mechanical computer, the Analytical Engine:

  • Ada is the first computer programmer.

  • They were mathematicians!
  • Joan Clarke and Alan Turing had been close friends.
  • They shared many hobbies and became very good friends at Bletchley Park, a secret Government Code and Cypher School.
  • Turing proposed marriage to Clarke in 1941. He told her he was homosexual.
  • Finally, they broke up.

  • Alan Turing (1912–1954) was an English mathematician and cryptanalyst who studied at Cambridge university.
  • He designed "The Bombe", a kind of computer, to help crack the German's messages during WWII.

  • In 1952 he was convicted of homosexuality and "chemically castrated".
  • He died of cyanide poisoning.

Joan Clarke

  • Joan (1917-1996) was an English mathematician and cryptanalyst.
  • She studied Mathematics at Cambridge University. She did not get her degree because she was a woman.
  • She was a code-breaker during the Second World War.
  • She was part of the Enigma project that decrypted the Nazi's secret communications.

  • Michael Jordan was born in New York (1963). He is 1.98 metres tall.
  • Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. He played fifteen seasons in the NBA.
  • He popularized basketball and the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s, becoming a global cultural icon.
