"My sister lives on a mantelpiece" is a 2011 novel written by Annabel Pitcher, it won the 2012 Branford Boase Awards

The author of "My sister lives on a mantelpiece" is Annabel Pitcher is a chilndren's writer. She estudied English Literature at Oxford University, this is her first novel

This novel is about a family dealing with the death of one of the girls, died in the terrorist attack of London boming, Jamie is the protagonist, his sisters are Jasmine and Rose, this one is death. The dad of Jamie is an alcoholic person and Islamofobic, and his mum is gone. Everybody are sad about the death except Jamie, because he doesn't remember his sister.
