The arrival in Sarzana!

When we arrived we immediately took a sightseeing tour where they showed us a castle in the city center.

Sarzana is a city in Liguria in the province of La Spezia populated by 22,000 inhabitants. In the Middle Ages it was an important religious and legal centre.

CATHEDRAL OF SANTA MARIA ASSUNTA

The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a Catholic place of worship located in the municipality of Sarzana, between Piazza Niccolò V and Via Giuseppe Mazzini. This has a white marble cladding, also in the upper area, and the interior was built in the Baroque style since it was erected by the bishop Beato Mainardo around 1063.
