MACHU PICCHU

Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca citadel. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire.

Machu Pichu is located in the southern Peru on a mountain ridge. It stands 2.430m above sea-level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinally beautiful setting.

Machu Picchu was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983. It is recognized for how the Inca people were able to integrate the buildings into the natural context. In 2007 Machu Picchu becames one of the New Seven Wonders of the World as well.

There are over 1.5 milion Machu Picchu visitors per year. It means around 2500 per day. My grandad Massimo visited Machu Picchu in 2018.
