"Mientras dure la guerra" (As long as the war lasts) is an excellent movie. It is directed by Alejandro Amenábar. This work explains perfectly the feelings that existed in Spain about the beginning and development of the Spanish Civil War.It is a story about the famous Miguel de Unamuno, who decides to publicly support the military uprising. As a consequence, he is dismissed by the Republican Government as rector of the University of Salamanca. Meanwhile, General Franco increases his trops and initiates a successful campaign.The setting is Salamanca The film is shot in Salamanca and is set in the civil war between 1936 and 1939. The main character is Miguel de Unamuno played by actor Karra Elejalde. Eduard Fernandez plays the supporting role of General Jose Millan Astray.In my opinion it is a good movie. It focuses on Unamuno and his contradictions but gives an overview of the beginning of the war and how it affects the turn it takes on its protagonist. I recommend you watch it and reflect on the absurdity of wars.

Firstly, I defended the ideas of the Nationalism, later, my opinion changed due to they started to kill my family and friends. Muy Sr. Nuestro, Somos un grupo de alumnos de 4º ESO muy preocupados por la situación que se está viviendo actualmente entre su país y Ucrania.Estamos en contra de cualquier guerra, ya que ésto no es compatible con la justicia ni con la libertad. No comprendemos que haya países que las apoyen o las provoquen.La invasión del territorio no tiene justificación, va en contra de la democracia y además ha hecho que millones de personas sufran y tengan que abandonar sus hogares.La situación que se está viviendo es terrible y no parece que su final esté cerca. Cada batalla es más cruel que la anterior.Desde Ucrania se piden más armas y esto no hará otra cosa sino aumentar el número de muertes en ambos lados. Creemos que si se para esta guerra, se salvarán numerosas vidas, y se podrá empezar a reconstruir ambos países.Es por este motivo, por el que le rogamos, que ponga fin a esta locura que está acabando con tantas vidas. Generación del 27: cómo les afectó la guerra civil

Se denominó Generación del 27 a un grupo heterogéneo de escritores que renovó el ambiente cultural del la España de los años 30. Entre sus integrantes más destacados se encuentran Federico García Lorca, Rafael Alberti, Jorge Guillén y Vicente Aleixandre. Este grupo estaba conectado con diversos artistas de otras corrientes, como los pintores Salvador Dalí y Maruja Mallo o el cineasta Luis Buñuel. Muchos de ellos carecían de ideas políticas definidas, pero cuando se desató la Guerra Civil en 1936 la mayoría apoyó a la República y se dedicaron a denunciar los crímenes de la guerra con sus versos.

Hasta el año 1927 Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer influye en esta generación. El creacionismo o el ultraísmo se extienden por Europa. También influye la poesía pura de Juan Ramón Jiménez, siendo la metáfora la mejor representación de este tipo de poesía. Los autores de la Generación del 27 era caracterizados por ser "herméticos‘ o ‘fríos. Usaban las métricas clásicas. Desde 1927 hasta la Guerra Civil española hay un proceso de ‘Rehumanización’, donde se busca una mayor complicidad con el lector. Aparece el Surrealismo. La caída de la dictadura de Primo de Rivera y de la monarquía, el ascenso de la República y todo el contexto político-social, influye en la Generación del 27. Alberti milita en el Partido Comunista. Mayoritariamente el Grupo se mostró partidario de la República. La guerra civil española rompería, el camino de esta generación literaria. Llegado el fin de la guerra, Lorca muere asesinado, y el Grupo inicia el exilio. A excepción de Aleixandre, Gerardo Diego o Dámaso Alonso, el grueso de los artistas de la Generación marcha de España. Alberti o Cernuda y Salinas, sienten la añoranza de aquello que les cambió la vida, la pérdida de sus vínculos, de su tierra, la nostalgia.

SPORTS DURING THE CIVIL WAR

The civil war claimed the lives of many sportsmen and women, paralysing sporting activity for three years and weakening it for many more. It completely changed the national teams, the clubs of the different disciplines and the competitions. The most popular sport was football, and there is no record of any female presence. The best known sportsmen in Spain at this time were Gale and Arocha of the Spanish national football team, who were killed in combat. In 1935, tennis changed its name to the Royal LAWN Tennis Association, although in these years its presence was null and void as the activity was paralysed. In 1940 the Spanish championships were once again organised in San Sebastian.

In the midst of World War I, in the trenches stretching across France and Belgium, on Christmas Day 1914, German and British soldiers called an unexpected truce: they stopped killing each other, got out of the trenches, fraternised, exchanged food and cigarettes, and ended up playing one of the most famous and inspiring football matches in history. It is said that some matches were played with empty tin cans.
