“jem sloshed water over the mud man and added more dirt”. My explanation for this is that he is changing the snowman to be different on the inside. (Harper, page 89)

“jem scooped up some snow and began plastering it on” my explanation for this is that the snowman is dirt on the inside and snow on the outside showing that the snow man is different on the inside then the outside.

I think the symbolism for The snowman is difference.I’ve given you evidence for this with both my quotes and I do really think this is difference. I think this due to the inside of the snowman being made out of dirt. So the snow man is different maybe due that in the south they were still racist.
