Refers to additional identities within the LGBTQIA+ community that are not represented by the aforementioned identities. Some of these include pansexuality, other gender identities such as genderfluidity, genderqueer, or agender.

Asexual

Refers to individuals who do not experience sexual attraction. There are variants of asexuality that exist including gray-asexual and demisexual.

Intersex

Refers to individuals who are either born with or develop in puberty biological sex characteristics that are not typically male or female. Can refer to chromosomes, internal sex organs, or genitalia.

Queer

Refers to those whose sexual or gender identity challenges the heteronormative narrative. Though historically this term has been used derogatorily, many individuals have reclaimed the usage of this term as a broad label for their identity.

Transgender

Refers to individuals whose gender identities do not align with their assigned sex at birth. "Trans" is frequently used as an overarching term to include individuals who do not experience gender in a binary way (i.e. male or female).

Refers to individuals who are sexually and/or romantically attracted to individuals of both sexes.

Refers to men who are sexually and/or romantically attracted to other men. Occasionally used as a broad term used to refer to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Refers to women who are sexually and/or romantically attracted to other women.
