Diana was only six when her John and Frances decided to divorce ,and John won custody of the children.

At school Diana excelled in athletics, music, and art. She did not enjoy math and science. One of her favorite things to do was to work with the elderly and the disabled. She loved to help others. When she completed boarding school at the age of sixteen, she went to finishing school in Switzerland. Finishing school is where girls from high society families learn about cooking, dancing, and attending parties. Diana didn't like the school and begged her father to let her come home. He finally agreed and she returned to England.

Dianas achivements

She helped raise AIDS awareness through AIDS programs and revealed to the world that victims of AIDS deserve to be treated with compassion and kindness. She played a significant role in de-stigmatizing the perceptions about people who were HIV-positive. Princess Diana allayed prejudices regarding the AIDS victims by holding and shaking hands with them.

other things she did

Princess Diana took particular interest in the Red Cross' work overseas, visiting projects in Nepal and Zimbabwe, among others. Some of Diana's most notable humanitarian work was around anti-personnel mines. She famously travelled to Angola in January 1997, a trip organised and supported by the British Red Cross.

marriage

The day I walked down the aisle at St. Paul's Cathedral, I felt that my personality was taken away from me, and I was taken over by the royal machine."

what diana said after a few years about the marriage
this is when they got married

Lady Diana Spencer married The Prince of Wales at St Paul's Cathedral in London on 29 July 1981.

How many years did Diana's marriage last? Resultado de imagen de DIANAS MARRIAGE August 1996: Charles and Diana officially filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage. Diana received a generous divorce settlement, the right to continue using her title of Princess of Wales, and retained her apartments at Kensington Palace.

why they divorced

Diana's marriage to Charles suffered due to their incompatibility and extramarital affairs. They separated in 1992, soon after the breakdown of their relationship became public knowledge. Their marital difficulties were widely publicised, and the couple divorced in 1996.

THE DIVORCE

THE INTERVIEW

In the interview, Diana discussed the lack of support she received from the royal family when she was experiencing postpartum depression: "Well maybe I was the first person ever to be in this family who ever had a depression or was ever openly tearful," she said.

HOW SHE DIED

In the early hours of 31 August 1997, Diana, Princess of Wales, died from injuries sustained earlier that night in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris, France. Diana's partner, Dodi Fayed, and the driver of the Mercedes-Benz W140, Henri Paul, also died upon impact.

i will say this in my own words

Active in disputing the official version of events were the British tabloid newspaper, the Daily Express, and Egyptian businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed, whose son, Dodi, was Diana's partner at the time and also died in the crash. In 2003, Diana's butler Paul Burrell published a note that he claimed had been written by Diana in October 1993, in which there were allegations that her husband was "planning 'an accident' in [Diana's] car, brake failure and serious head injury" so that he could marry again. She had allegedly expressed similar concerns in October 1995 to Lord Mishcon, her solicitor, that "reliable sources" had told her "that she and Camilla would be put aside" for Charles to marry
