Signs of a troubled transition from water-based environment to an air-based environment in the deivery of the newborn:

• Irregular/absent/rapid breathing
• Slow heart rate
• Decreased muscle tone
• Pale/blue skin

• ETCO@ > 50 = BVM
• Status = > 5 min or more than 1 seizure without return to baseline
