reasons behind social classes

- No english revolution - Historically influenced by the concept of social class - still born into good classes - significant change since the WW2 - stiff school system

- categorisation of the social classes - seven social classes - five social classes - three social classes

advantages

disadvantages

• low social classes live in bad conditions
• half of the population is in the lower class
• the school depends on social class
• inequality between social classes

• go up with education

• low classes value money, education,... more
• no major loss if high class dropps down

Reasons behind the caste system

- nomadic groups migrated to india - priests introduced a simple caste system - white skinned people wanted to stand out from dark skinned natives - Hindu is a big part of the caste system

our opinion

• unfair for people because they can't choose or change anything
• more supporte for lower class/caste , chance to climb up
• equality between the people of different classes/castes

• more suppoclear cut between castes
