Almendralejo is a city located in the province of Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain. Its population in 2017 was 33,540 inhabitants according to the INE. It is the province of the homonymous judicial district and capital of the region of Tierra de Barros it take up 164.5 km² an have a elevation of 337 meters.Known as "City of Romanticism" for being the birthplace of two main poets of this literary movement, José de Espronceda and Carolina Coronado.It has an area of 15 563 hectares and its climate is quite dry, with mild winters and high temperatures in summer.
