The Greeks settled here in the early sixth century BC, and later the Romans began the Romanization of the peninsula (2nd century BC).
Puerta del Sol is a square in the Spanish city of Madrid. The so-called Zero Kilometer of the country's radial highways has been located there since 1950. The oldest building in Puerta del Sol is the Casa de Correos and it highlights the tower clock that was built and donated in the 19th century by José Rodríguez de Losada, and whose chimes at 12 o'clock at night on December 31 mark the traditional taking of the twelve grapes to the great majority of the Spaniards. The Puerta del Sol is a meeting place, a place of passage between different parts of Madrid. It is a mandatory tourist visit for those who come to Madrid.
Park Güell is a modernist park in the district of Gracia, Barcelona. It is a park very visited by people from all over the world, especially Asian people. The architect of the park was Antoni Gaudí. Another important work of Gaudí is the Sagrada Família.

The monastery of Santa María de Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey located on the mountain of Montserrat, belonging to the Bages region, province of Barcelona. It was built in the 16th century and completely rebuilt in the 19th century (1811) after its destruction in the Independence war.
