CROATIA THROUGH OUR EYES
Hrvatsko zagorje is a cultural-historical Croatian region and a separate natural-geographical unit in the northwestern part of Croatia.It is separated from Zagreb by Medvednica, hence its name - "behind the mountain".It is a predominantly hilly area.
"A beautiful region of northern Croatia. It is filled with green hills and famous for it's wine making tradition."
HRVATSKO ZAGORJE
Krapina is located in the hilly Zagorje region of Croatia, approximately 55 km (34 mi) away from Zagreb.Krapina has been known since 1193. It has always been a favorite site for castles and country houses of Croatian and Hungarian rulers.Krapina is home to the yearly Festival kajkavske popevke (The festival of kajkavian song) sung in the local Kajkavian language

Trakošćan Castle is one of the most attractive castles in Croatia. It is located near Krapina, in Hrvatsko Zagorje.Since 1953, the castle has housed a permanent museum display, which, in addition to the faithful reconstruction of the ambience from the period of restoration, contains valuable examples of Baroque furniture and small items.

It's the biggest graphite of Kohorta (football fan group), over 200 meters and 500 squares. The second largest fan graphite in Southeast Europe, and among the largest in the world!

The Church of St Peter and St Paul is placed in Osijek. The church is built of three and a half million bricks, and has a colored stone altars. Capacity of the church is over 3000 people.

OSIJEK FOOTBALL STADIUM
Plitvice Lakes is the oldest and largest national park in the Republic of Croatia. The most attractive part of the park are the lakes. The lake system is comprised of 16 named and several smaller unnamed lakes, cascading one into the next. The Plitvice Lakes National Park offers visitors seven different routes to tour the lake system, and four hiking trails.

Mljet is Croatia's greenest island with its Mediterranean vegetation, clear and clean sea, gentle sandy shoreline and a wealth of underwater sea life. The island is conisdered to be one of the most beautiful of the Croatian islands too.Mljet is well known for its wine, olives and goat's cheese.

It was constructed between 27 BC and AD 68, and is among the world's six largest surviving Roman arenas. The arena is also the country's best-preserved ancient monument.
The Pula Arena is the only remaining Roman amphitheatre to have four side towers entirely preserved.

Dubrovnik is a city in Croatia based on the Adriatic Sea. It is a top popular destination on the Mediterranian Sea especially after filming Game of Thrones. Dubrovnik is best known by its distinctive Old Town all surrounded by the Walls of Dubrovnik. The walls are 1940 meters long with 6 fortresses (Lovrijenac, Revelin, Minčeta, Bokar, St John and St Lucas).

Lokrum is an island in the Adriatic Sea 600 metres (1,969 feet) from the city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. It stretches from northwest to southeast and receives regular ferry service from the city.The name Lokrum comes from the Latin, acrumen, meaning sour fruit.

The Church of St Donatus is a church located in Zadar. Its named after Donatus of Zadar, who began construction on this church in the 9th century and ended it on the northeastern part of the Roman forum. The church is the largest Pre-Romanesque building in Croatia.

Diocletian's Palace is an ancient palace built for the Roman emperor Diocletian. Today it forms about half the old town of Split.In November 1979 UNESCO adopted a proposal that the historic city of Split built around the Palace should be included in the register of World Cultural Heritage.Diocletian's Palace was used as a location for filming the fourth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones.
