• Copy of DNI/NIF/TIE/NIE (in this last case, also a copy of the passport is needed) Only in case yo do not accept system's validation

• For those who request prueba de clasificación (placement test): proof of payment of the test fees (modelo 700)

Process of admission

Requirements

In order to be granted access to the studies offered atEscuela Oficial de Idiomas, you must meet the following requirements:

• Being 16 or over in the running year the studies commence, as well as 14-year-olds who want to study a language different from the first foreign language studied at Secondary Education.
• Passport holders of a country, whose official language coincides with the one applied for, must proof the mentioned language is not their mother tongue or schooling language.

Requirements

Admision will be granted following the criteria listed below (in the order the list is displayed):

• Over 18 working or unemployed. (Applicants must proof this condition at enrollment, failing to do so will imply the cancellation of the application)
• Over 18 enrolled in the educational system.
• Over 16 at school or not. This group includes all those applicants over 16 not included in the previous two goups. (For example: pensioners, asylum seekers, overseas employees, etc.)
• Over 14 who want to study a language dfferent from the first foreign language studied at Secondary Education.

How to prove priority GROUP

Process of admission

Requirements

Applications may include up to three different requests. In case more than one requests are included in the application and the applicant would not obtain a place for the first choice, the priority order will stand for the other options selected included in the application. Regarding the e-learning modality, priority will be given to those applicants whose island of residence has no formative options in the presence-based or blended modalities. As for the admission in a second language, it is required the existence of vacancies once all applicants of a first language are granted a place.

Access to the first course of Basic Level A2 (A2.1). No previous academic requirement needed. Applicants must only show proof of the general requirements of access established on the admisson decree published by the Education Department of the Canarian Government.

The academic requirements for applicants who desire to access any level above Básico A2.1 are:

• Having passed any regulated courses or levels at any Escuela Oficial de Idiomas in Spain. That will grant access to the corresponding course.
• Bachiller (Spanish A-levels): Will grant accesss to either B1.1 or A2.2 of the first foreign language studied at shcool.
• Applicants who possess any of the degress or certifications included in Resolución de 9 de diciembre de 2022, (Link to the Resolution, in Spanish )
• Having passed during the school year 2024-2025 the language activities of the production and co-production of written and oral texts in the Special Regime Language Teaching certification test of the corresponding language and level immediately prior to the one requested.

The access to a year above first course (Básico A2.1) through access via 3 must be stated on the application form marking the option: prueba de clasificación (placement test). Applications for the same language can only be done through one access option. Any other requests for the same langue will be rejected.

Via 3: Placement test

Applicants who require a placement test must pay the standard fee for the test and attach the proof of payment to the application form before sending it for its validation. Those who fail to do so will not be allowed to take part in the test. The form to pay the test fee is located online and you can find the link in the interactie botton below (instructions on how to fill up the Modelo 700 ), you must choose “EOI – Prueba de Clasificación”. As a rule, applicants who do not take the placement test will be assigned first year of level Básico A2 (A2.1)

Admission, reserve lists and enrollment process.

• DEFINITIVE LISTS of applicants: ALLOCATION of PLACES: 23 June 2025.
• ORDINARY ENROLMENT period for new students who have been admitted: from 24 June to 10 July 2025.
• Publication of possible vacant places: 14 July 2025.
• Publication of updated reserve lists: 14 July 2025.
• Formalisation of ENROLMENT for those in reserve included in the previous call: 15 to 25 July 2025.
• Period for application for places and enrolment for the coverage of vacancies for which there is no reserve list. (From 25 July 2025 to 18 September).
