The aim of these vocabulary games is to either teach or check how much your ss know. There are two types of exercises that check the recognition and then the knowledge of the words. T can use each activity separately or combine them any way they want. The activities are based on a matching exercise - flashcards and names or write-in exercise - where ss need to write the correct word.
1. Review Your Words
- Activity: A digital flashcard review system. Students track streaks and total errors to gamify their vocabulary retention. The "Show Hint" feature allows for scaffolded learning, providing support for students who need a memory prompt.
2. Pack Your Suitcase for Summer / Winter
- Activity: This activity requires students to discriminate between winter clothing and summer items. Use this to explicitly teach the contrast between seasonal needs.
