Ok, you’ve already met the council members, but have you truly understood their needs and intentions? Can you say, whose words are these? And remember: active listening is the key to finding a common solution.

Once you have reviewed all the proposals, select the one you wish to implement:
Sometimes easy does not mean good enough
Sometimes a bit more effort works wonders!
Go back to see projects once again
This project shows what's possible when we work together. Five different visions became one shared space. That's democracy in action - the European way! Well done!

You’ve learnt about the art of compromise and civic engagement in practice. Now it’s time for a bit of theory! Match each definition with the correct word.

In the EU we have 27 countries, hundreds of languages, countless perspectives. We find strength in our diversity by building compromises that respect everyone. You just proved that young people can do the same!
Compromise doesn't mean losing. It means creating something better together.

The Fab Five thank you for your help. Before you go, we have a small call to action for you:
"Think about a disagreement in your life. Can you find the core needs behind different positions?"
"Next time you're in a group decision, try listening first, voting last."
"You can always try again and design a different solution! There are many ways to satisfy everyone."

Dear President, Please accept my sincere congratulations on your election as the newly elected President of your neighborhood Youth Council in our diverse European community. As you begin your term, I would like to entrust you and your Council with an important responsibility. The City has allocated €5,000 to be invested in one community project of your choice. You have 48 hours to reach a decision that satisfies all five Council members. I have heard that you are someone who listens actively, believes strongly in democratic values, and understands how to use its tools effectively. Most importantly, you recognize that compromise is not losing, but rather a path toward shared success. I would like to invite you to my office, where you will have the opportunity to meet the five Council members and learn more about their individual perspectives on the future of our neighborhood. I look forward to meeting you soon. Yours sincerely,Mayor Jones

This is the easiest and quickest option: allocating space for residents to grow plants and giving the walls to artists to create murals. But there is no place to do sport or even sit...
