Health & Wellness

A journey of growth, safety, and learning through five days of discovery.

Why This Plan Works

This curriculum is designed specifically for 6- and 7-year-olds using hands-on engagement. By integrating math and literacy with physical, emotional, and safety education, we provide a holistic wellness experience. These activities strengthen home-school connections while empowering students through community partnerships.

Wellness: Mind, Body, and Heart

Building a stronger tomorrow through the habits we practice together today.

THANK YOU

Integrating community partners into Health and Wellness Week enriches the curriculum by providing real-world context for students. By connecting with local pediatricians, grocery stores, and safety responders, we model how health is a community-wide priority. This collaboration reinforces classroom lessons, making wellness concepts tangible and accessible for first-grade learners.

Ready to start your Healthy Habits Checklist? Remember that consistent daily actions form the foundation of lifelong wellness. Be sure to brush your teeth, drink plenty of water, wash your hands often, and prioritize getting enough sleep each night to help your body grow strong.

When students experience big feelings, they can learn to manage them by expressing feelings positively. Key strategies include practicing deep belly breaths to calm down, using clear words to describe emotions, and sharing feelings with a trusted adult.
