CASE STUDY 2: PEOPLE, PERFORMANCE & CONFLICTRESOLUTION IN HEALTHCARE COURSE
Organization: Thummim Africa Timeline: Early 2026 Format: Fully Virtual (Asynchronous LMS + Social
Learning Components) Target Audience: Registered Pharmacists, PharmaceuticalTechnologists, and Pharmacy Students in Kenya
The Challenge (Why This Training Was Needed)
In high-pressure work environments, hidden tension and poor communication don't just lowermorale, they create operational bottlenecks and increase the risk of costly errors. I was taskedwith designing a scalable solution to help teams across Nigeria and Kenya move from reactive
friction to proactive collaboration.
The Solution (How I Designed the Learning Journey)
Instead of a standard, boring lecture, I managed the end-to-end development of an interactive5-week virtual program broken into 17 practical lessons. The curriculum was built around real-world workplace scenarios, teaching leaders how to stay calm, manage people effectively, and
resolve issues directly.
INSTRUCTIONAL ARCHITECTURE & CORE PILLARS
The program was designed around fourcritical pillars of modern clinical leadership, built entirely on adult learning principles todrive workplace behavioral modification:
Clear Accountability: Moving past vaguegoals so everyone knows exactly whatsuccess looks like and helping managersspot whether a teammate is strugglingwith motivation or just needs better
support.
Handling Tough Conversations: Teachingpeople how to stay calm under pressure, resolve disagreements peer-to-peer, andde-escalate tension before it ever needs
to involve HR.
Emotional Intelligence: Showing busyprofessionals how to manage theirenergy and stress during chaoticworkdays without burning out.
Building Trust & Psychological Safety:Helping leaders adapt theirmanagement style to differentpersonality types and creating a safespace where team members feelsecure enough to admit mistakes sothe whole team can learn from them.
A huge congratulations to all the professionals who dedicated fiveweeks to completing all 17 lessons!
Managing this project reinforced a core beliefthat drives my work: when training isdesigned around the real, everydaypressures people face, it doesn't just buildskills....it completely transforms how a
business operates.
