According to Whistleblowers.org, "a hostile workplace is one where serious or consistent harassment and discrimination based on an employee’s protected characteristics, such as race, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation, create a toxic or abusive working environment." Hostile Workplaces violate laws such as: Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 The Americans with Disabilities Act The Age Discrimination in Employment Act The Fair Labor Standards Act just to name a few.
