“Serenity is not the absence of storms, but the quiet strength to remain at peace within them.”
The other half of the choldren of 2nd Experimental Kindergarten of Thessaloniki began by observing famous paintings that depicted specific feelings, as selected by our "Wheel of Feelings." The feeling selected for their school was SERENITY. After careful observation, they chose the painting"Madame de Pompadour" by François Boucher as the perfect depiction of peace and calm. The children explored why the artist chose soft palettes and discussed what might have made the subject feel so serene and tranquil. Before picking up their brushes, they practiced "becoming" the emotion by taking photographs of theirclassmates as they used their facial expressions and body language to depict Serenity. Bringing all their inspiration together, they worked on a large group canvas. Using mixed media—including tempera, colored pencils, wax crayons, and collage— expressed their sense of serenity through unique lines, shapes, and textures.

Angry with a reason
“There is tenderness in sadness, for it reminds us how deeply we have loved, hoped, and lived.”
The emotion that came up for 12th Kindergarten of Polichni, Thessaloniki, Greece was sadness. The children observed several paintings that depicted this feeling and, after discussion and careful observation, they concluded that the painting “Sorrowing Old Man (At Eternity’s Gate)” by Vincent van Gogh expresses sorrow and sadness in the most powerful way. The children also talked about how colors can convey emotions. They noticed the blue color in the old man’s clothes and tried to explain why the artist might have chosen it and how it contributes to the feeling of sadness that the painting conveys.is prepared to consume visual content. In addition, they tried to guess the title of the painting. Their ideas included: “SADNESS,” “ALONE,” “A SAD MAN,” “UPSET.” Finally, the students worked together to create a large group painting. Using tempera paints and oil pastels, they expressed their own interpretation of sadness. The title they gave to their artwork was “I LOST MY MOM.”

Artists communicate feelings and emotions through colors, shapes. Every artwork can express a mood, such as happiness, sadness, fear, hope, or love. Painters may use warm or dark colors to create different emotions. Through their work, artists share personal experiences, cultural ideas, and messages about society. Art allows people to connect emotionally, understand different perspectives, and experience feelings without words. In our digital museum, exploring artworks helps visitors discover how emotions can be expressed creatively across different styles, cultures, and time periods.

Anger
Children of Escola Básica do Valado- Valongo of Portugal explored ANGER. They began by exploring this feeling with their bodies, using the mirror game, through which they observed expressions, gestures, and postures that represent it.
Next, they drew anger and talked about situations in which they feel this way and the reasons that can trigger this emotion. They were inspired by the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat to represent anger. They observed several of his works and analyzed Boy and Dog in a Johnnypump more closely, identifying elements that reminded us of this emotion. Th
