Instructions
Mona fanned herself with her hand and drifted into the shadows made by the buildings. She stopped and noticed an ice cream cone on the sidewalk. It was melting into a puddle.
A.) Mona doesn't like icecream. B.) It is hot outside.
When they got upstairs, Ellie pointed toward two open doors and said, "Guess which room is mine."
Kayla looked at Ellie's purple socks, hoodie, and hairband. "Is it the purple one?" she asked.
"Good guess!" Ellie replied.

The hardware store had sold out of snow shovels. At the grocery store, people waited in long lines, buying anything they could grab. Outside, the sky was gray and the wind swirled.

Sara tapped her foot and kept glancing at the clock. She held her backpack tightly and stood near the door.

Marcy screamed as the sled flew down the steep hill. When the sled picked up speed, her heart raced faster and faster. When she finally reached the bottom, she yelled, "Let's go again!"

Carlos stomped his feet and crossed his arms. His eyebrows scrunched together as he looked at the broken toy.

"I'm ready!" shouted Ed as he dashed out the door. When he felt the hot sun and warm breeze, he announced, "I'll be right back." He went back inside and tossed off his heavy winter coat.

Emily shaded her eyes with her hand and squinted as she walked across the playground. Her face looked bright in the sunlight.

Liam rubbed his arms and stepped closer to the campfire. His teeth made a tiny chatter sound.

Jamal’s stomach growled loudly during reading time. He held his belly and looked toward the cafeteria.

Haley rushed down the busy sidewalk. She didn't even notice the people ahead of her until someone bumped into her. Haley looked up angrily, but then she suddenly began to smile. "Hey! How's it going?" she cried.
A.) Haley is looking for someone. B.) Haley recognizes the person who bumped into her.
Bob felt his eyes grow heavier as he held back a yawn. His math teacher said, "Bob, can you do this problem?" Bob stared at the board, his mind in a fog.
A.) Bob is having trouble staying awake. B.) Bob is eager to answer the question.
Ladders
SNAKES
INSTRUCTIONS
Players start with a token - which represents each of them - in the initial square and take turns rolling the die. The tokens move according to the numbering on the board, in ascending order. If, at the end of a move, a player lands on a square where a ladder begins, they move up it to the square where it ends. If, on the other hand, they land on a square where a snake's tail begins, they move down it to the square where its head ends. If a player rolls a 6, they can move twice in a single turn. If a player rolls three consecutive 6's, they must return to the initial square and cannot move their token until they roll a 6 again. The player who reaches the final square is the winner. There is a variation where, if a player is six or fewer squares away from the end, they must roll precisely the number needed to reach it. If the number rolled exceeds the number of remaining squares, the player cannot move.
If the player falls on the bottom of a ladder, they move up to the top square where the ladder ends.
Ladders
If the player lands on a square where the tail of a snake starts, they go down to a lower square where the headis located.
