Soul Surfer
Soul Surfer is a biographical drama based on the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton. The movie follows Bethany, a talented teenage surfer from Hawaii, whose life changes after a shark attack causes her to lose her left arm. After the accident, Bethany struggles with fear, frustration, and doubts about her future in surfing. With support from her family, friends, and faith, she gradually rebuilds her confidence. Despite the challenges of surfing with one arm, she returns to competitions and proves her determination and courage.
Soul Surfer is one of my all time favorite books in my grade school. I love the way the whole book is portrayed out, I relate to Bethany being a christian myself and personally love the way Bethany stuck her way through these difficult times in her life, along with the movie. - Evan Krosel

The Red Bandanna tells the true story of Welles Crowther, a young man remembered for his bravery during the September 11 attacks. Welles was known for always carrying a red bandanna, a gift from his father. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a firefighter, but after college he worked in finance in New York City. On September 11, 2001, he was working in the South Tower of the World Trade Center when the planes struck. Instead of escaping immediately, Welles used his firefighter training to help others evacuate the building. Survivors later described a mysterious man wearing a red bandanna who guided people to safety and repeatedly returned into the smoke and danger to rescue more victims.

My best memory is doing the fire lab in science with Mrs. Nemeth where we experiment to see how color of fire would change when interpreted by different chemicals.
