Education
After high school, I began my college journey at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia. I later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education with a focus in English. A few years later, I enrolled at Georgia Southern University to pursue my Master’s Degree. Last year, I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology. After graduation, I knew I wanted to continue my education and earn my Specialist Degree. Because I had such a wonderful experience at Georgia Southern, continuing there was an easy choice. I am now in my second semester of the Specialist program, and I am proud of the progress I have made so far.
Professional Life
I began my teaching career at Long County Middle School, where I taught 6th grade Language Arts for five years. After that, I transitioned to South Tattnall Middle School, where I currently teach 7th grade Language Arts.Recently, I was offered an exciting opportunity to teach in my hometown. I will be joining Wayne County High School as a graphic design teacher, and I am looking forward to this new chapter in my teaching career.
Personal Life
I have been married to my husband for 10 years, and we have an 8-year-old son who keeps us very busy. Much of our time is spent cheering him on while he plays sports, which is one of my favorite things to do. When I have free time, I enjoy baking, playing pickleball, and spending time outdoors golfing with my husband and son. Our family stays active, and I love making memories together through the things we enjoy most.
