The graph illustrates the amount of energy consumed and generated by a household each month, covering a span of 13 months.

All solar customers are provided with a Solar (PV) Meter that measures the total solar energy production.

Total Current Charges will be the remaining balance after the Value of Solar bill credit has been applied.

To determine your Demand Usage and Power Factor, review our Commercial Rates

Net Read is the Delivered Read minus the Received Read (Revenue Meter).

The Delivered Read under the solar meter is the Total Generation of solar before being consumed or sent to the grid.

Value of Solar (VOS) Credit

The customer's solar bill credit reduces the total amount due on their electric bill. How it's calculated: [VOS rate] x [Total Generation] Value of Solar Rate depends on solar system size:

  • System sizes under 1 MW-AC: 9.91 cents/kWh
  • System sizes 1 MW-AC and over: 7.24 cents/kWh

Total Service Consumption

Total Service Consumption refers to the total energy used by business, including both solar power and electricity from the grid.

[Revenue Meter Net Read] + [Solar Meter Total Generation] = Total Service Consumption

The Revenue Meter # is the customer's main meter number.

The Received Read is the surplus solar energy that is sent to the grid.
