1. Select Interactive Elements and add a Button on the four battles you've seleced for each map. (8 total from both maps combined) 2. Click on each button and select "Open Window" on the right hand side and select a template (one that allows text & images) 3. Add the required text, images, and link for each battle you've selected. 4. Repeat the above steps for each of the four battles your selected from the lists for both the European Theater and the Pacific Theater maps.

Invasion of Normandy / D-Day (June 6th, 1944)
On June 6th, 1944, the U.S., the U.K., and Canada successfully led the biggest invasion in World War 2 to storm the beach of Normandy and liberate France from Germany
Battle of Stalingrad
During the August of 1942, German forces attempted to take over the city of Stalingrad for its oil supply. The Soviets fought back and won the battle during February of 1943.
Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb-March, 1945)
On February 19th, American forces arrived on a volcanic island in Iwo Jima. Japanese forces were expecting this and built strong defensive positions from caves, tunnels, and bunkers. American forces were caught off guard, but still managed to win the battle in March.
Siege of Lenigrad
On September 8th, 1941, German and Finland troops tried to take over Lenigrad and cut of the production and shipment of supplies to the Soviet forces. This battle lasted until January 27th, 1944, when Russia finally pushed back the Axis powers and liberated the city.
Battle of Okinawa (April-June, 1945)
In April of 1945, American forces arrived on the island of Okinawa and fought the Japanese in the jungles and in caves. It wasn't until June that Japanese defenses collapsed, resulting in an Allied victory.
Battle of Britain
The first battle of World War 2 took place in the skies of Great Britain in July of 1940. British forces fought German forces entirely by airplane and won during the October of the same year.
Battle of Midway (June 4-7, 1942)
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan wanted to finish off the rest of our ships. The U.S. caught word of this and set up an ambush in the middle of North America and Asia. American forces destroyed most of the fleet and caused Japan to defend the land that they had already captured, instead of trying to keep expanding. This battle symbolized the turning point in the war in the Pacific in America's favor.
Pearl Harbor (December 7th, 1941)
On December 7, 1941, Japan attacked our Naval Base in Pearl Harbor. Many ships were destroyed, and this loss caused the U.S. to join WW2 against Japan and the Axis Powers.
