The Task: You are a therapist in the afterlife. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have just arrived, and they need a joint session to process their complicated relationship.

• The Analysis
• Write a 2 page report on the couple's power dynamic. Who was the alpha at the start? When did the shift happen?

• The Guilt Assessment
• Compare their reactions to blood. Why does Lady Macbeth sleepwalk while Macbeth sees ghosts at dinner?
• The Diagnosis
• Identify the fatal flaw for both. Was it ambition or just a really bad case of peer pressure?

Castle For Sale

The Task: After the deaths of the Macbeths, the Inverness is back on the market. You are the real estate agent tasked with selling a home where a regicide occured.

• The Listing
• Create a professional brochure. Highlight the "great Hall", the secluded courtyard and the elevated battlements.
• The Disclosure Statement
• Legally, You have to mention the hauntings. Write a creative section explaining that the "occasional ghost of a Thane" adds" historical charm" and that the bloodstains on the floor are "vintage character."
• The Neighborhood
• Describe the local perks, like the proximity to Birnan Wood and the quiet, fog filled atmosphere.

Macbeth's Burner Account (Social Media Thread)

The Task: If Macbeth had a smartphone, his descent into madness would have been documented in real time.

• The Thread:
• Create a series of 10 posts (tweet/status updates) spanning from Act 1 to Act 5
• The Comments
• Include replies from other characters. How does Banquo react to the post about the witches? What does Lady Macbeth DM him when he's catching feelings about the murder?
• The Final Post
• Write Macbeth's final story update as he sees Birnam Wood starting to move. Use Plenty of emojis.

The Graphic Novel

• The Task: Shakespeare's dialogue is famous, but sometimes what isn't said is just as important.
• The Artwork
• Create a 6 page comic strip of a major scene, but here's the catch: You can not use any of Shakespeare's dialogue.
• The Visuals
• You must tell the story through facial expressions, "sound effect" words and symbolism.
• The Director's Note
• Write one paragraph explanation of why you chose those specific visual cues to represent the missing words.

The Macbeth True Crime Podcast

The Task: Imagine you are the host of a hit podcast like Serial or My Favorite Murder. You are investigating the strange occurrences at Inverness and Dunsinane.

• The Episode
• Record (or write the script) for a 5 minute episode titled "The Butcher and the Fiend Like Queen".
• The Interview
• Include a clip of an interview with a witness, perhaps the porter (who saw everyone arrive) or the Doctor (who heard Lady Macbeth's sleep talking confessions).
• The Theory
• Present your theory on whether Macbeth was a born Killer or if he was groomed by the witches and his wife.

The Task: King Duncan has been found dead. You are the lead investigator, Since DNA testing won't be invented for several centuries, you have to rely on the evidence at the scene.

• The Evidence Log
• Create a list of 5 key items found in the castle. For each item, explain its significance to the Prosecution.

• Write a transcript of your interrogation of Lady Macbeth. Include her alibi, and 3 specific questions you would ask to trip her up

The Weird Sisters Campaign

The Task: You are a PR agent hired by the Three Witches to improve their image in Scotland. People think they are HAGS but you know they are just destiny consultants

• Create a 3 Page Brand Strategy
• Define their target audience (ambitious thanes), their slogan, and their services (prophecy, potion brewing, rhythmic chanting).
• The Pitch:
• Write a script for a 60 second commercial where the sisters explain why their prophecies are actually helpful and definitely not designed to ruin lives.
• The Disclaimer:
• Write the "fine print" that would appear at the bottom of their contracts, explaining that "Trees moving Toward hills is a known side effect" and "No Refunds for decapitations."

The Ghost of Banquo Menu

The Task: You are the caterer for the disastrous banquet in Act 3. Since the ghost ruined the evening, you need to redesign the event to be more"supernatural friendly".

• The Menu
• Create a 3 course meal based on the play's imagery
• The Seating Chart
• Design a seating chart for 8 characters. Explain why ou put certain people together and why you definitely kept Macduff away from Macbeth.
• The party Favors
• What do the guests get to take home? Explain the symbolism behind each gift.

The Fatal Flaw Autopsy

The Task: You are a medieval doctor trying to understand what went wrong with Macbeth's brain.

• The Diagram
• Draw a map of Macbeth's mind. Label the sections dominated by Ambition, Paranoia, Guilt, and Superstition.
• The Chart
• Create a Fever Chart showing his mental stability from Act 1 to Act 5. Mark the specific moments where his temperature (Madness) spiked.

The "Unsex Me" Paradox

The Task: Write a formal 3–5 page essay in MLA format analyzing one of the three prompts below. Your essay must include a clear thesis statement, at least four direct quotes from the play (with proper parenthetical citations), and a Works Cited page. Prompt: Examine the evolution of gender roles between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. At the start of the play, Lady Macbeth calls upon spirits to "unsex" her to commit murder, while Macbeth hesitates. By the end, their roles have effectively reversed. Trace this transition and explain what Shakespeare is suggesting about the relationship between "masculinity" and "cruelty."
