Summary
I have chosen two separate places -- one from Florida and one from California. The choice I made in Florida is St. Pete Beach. It won't be as busy as other places in Florida but still just as beautiful. I chos Huntington Beach for California. This is another beach that is not as highly traveled as other California beaches.

Huntington Beach, California is located towards the southern part of California. There is about 10 miles of open beach. You are able to swim, surf, kayak, as well as walk the iconic pier. The beach usually has wonderful weather, nearly year around.
