Illustrator Project #1
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? The goal was to make an illustrated version of a real life location. 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? I chose a picture of the CN Tower in Toronto Canada. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think I really did a good job and really making this look real. I just wish I could make the windows a closer color that they are in the actual picture. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? I used the eyedropper tool mostly to keep the color the same.
Illustrator Project #2
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? The goal of this project to show different ways to show designs in graphic design. 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? I used a bunch of different ones mostly circles and lines to create different designs. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think for every box I showed what it asked of me. I would probably use more tools if I were to redesign. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? I used the technique of being simple with my designs.
Illustrator Project #3
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? This was a project that jsut needed us to create a haunted house because it was around Halloween. 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? I just tried to emulate a haunted house by having a big house in the middle and then 2 smaller ones on the outside of it. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think I really did a great job creating the clouds and Moon. I think I could of added more stuff like a scarecrow or something. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? I used the circle tool to create the clouds and moon and squares mostly for the houses.
Photoshop Project #1
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? It was made to have a cool combo of the picture and letters. 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? I chose this picture from a catholic church because I knew the colors were going to look good when finished. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think I did the offset of the letters good but I need to blend in the background a litle more. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? I used the urlers to offset the letters.
Photoshop Project #2
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? The goal was to create a background for a bigger project. 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? I chose the blue for this becasue Han Solo's lightsaber is blue and the prject had to do with Star Wars. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think I chose a background that embodied Star Wars in a way because it looks like a tunnel. I would probably just get deeper into that hole. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? I used a camera and took this picture from right outside the classroom.
Photoshop Project #3
Paste your project in the area to the right. Then answer the following questions: 1. What was the goal of this project and who was it designed for? The goal was to create a 3D letter and I used a picture from Mexico as the subject 2. What design choices did you make (color, typography, layout, or imagery) and why did they improve your design? The color just realy complimented the color in the picture already which made the letter have more of a pop. 3. What is one thing you did well in this project and one thing you would improve if you redesigned it? I think I did the letter perfectly maybe the only thing I would change would be the picture. 4. What specific tools or techniques did you use, and how did they help create the final result? The copying of layer was what really made the 3D letter 3D.
Conclusion
This year I learned how to use design skills like color, typography, and layout to create better designs. At the beginning, I struggled with __________, but I improved by __________. I am most proud of __________ because it shows my growth as a designer. In the future, I want to improve my skills in __________ and learn more about __________. I am also interested in possibly pursuing __________ as a career or hobby. Overall, this class helped me become more confident in my creativity and my ability to communicate ideas through design.
