Illustrator Project #1
1. The goal for this project was to create a travel poster to visually appeal to the audience and pursuade them to visit Paris. 2. I used typography to make the "Paris France" standout and be visable to the audience. 3. One thing I did well was making the eiffel tower, one thing I would improve is better quality clouds and cleaner grass. 4. I used the pen tool to create all the tiny shapes on the eiffel tower, this allowed me to have more control over the shapes.
Illustrator Project #2
1. The goal of the project was to create a online portrait for someone in our class, this project was designed for my friend Aidyn. 2. I used imagery and shapes to desing his face, this brought the whole thing together adding small details. 3. One thing i did well was creating the mouth and teeth, one thing i could've improved on was the eyes and nose. 4. I used the pen tool to outline everything and help me have more control over the shapes i wanted.
Illustrator Project #3
1. The goal of this project was to create a haunted house and add your own type of touch to it. 2. I used different colors and typography to give the creation more depth and detail. 3. One thing i did well was creating the ghost and making it transparent to fit into the project, one thing i could've improved on was making the house and having cleaner lines. 4. I used tools such as line segment tool and the pen tool to make even straight lines to make it more appealing and professional.
Photoshop Project #1
1. The goal of this project was to create a image for your pet or just an animal with your choice of letter, this was made for my personal entertainment. 2. I used imagery shown in the photo, making the dog seemlessly flow into the letter. 3. One thing i did well on in this project was making the reflection and blending the dog into the letter, one thing i coulve improved on was the color and making the image fit better. 4. I used shortcuts and commands to help me make the reflection and etc.
Photoshop Project #2
1. The goal of this project was to choose a motivational quote to inspire people, this was intended for any auidence to motivate them. 2. I used color and blending to make the project was appealing and everything flows together well with the colors matching. 3. One thing i did well was spacing everything out to fit, I coudlve improved the quality and put more effort into the project. 4. I used techniques such as creating shapes and the eyedropper tool to have a consistant color throughout the project.
Photoshop Project #3
1. The goal of this project was to create a realistic Star Wars themed movie poster of our choosing, the audience intended was my classmates and friends. 2. I used typography, using the star wars font makes it obvious for the intention of the project as well as the lightsaber. 3. One thing i did well was making the lightsaber and I couldve improved on the background and making it more realistic. 4. I used the shortcuts and image settings to get effects on the lightsaber and background.
Conclusion
This year I learned how to use design skills like color, typography, and layout to create better designs. At the beginning, I struggled with layout, but I improved by practing and making projects. I am most proud of 17.1 Travel Poster Final because it shows my growth as a designer. In the future, I want to improve my skills in photoshop and learn more about the shortcuts and tools. I am also interested in possibly pursuing graphic designer as a career or hobby. Overall, this class helped me become more confident in my creativity and my ability to communicate ideas through design.
