O que é a equação de Bernoulli?
A Equação de Bernoulli é um princípio fundamental da mecânica dos fluidos que relaciona a pressão, a velocidade e a altura de um fluido (líquido ou gás) em movimento. Em termos simples, ela estabelece que: quando a velocidade de um fluido aumenta, a sua pressão interna diminui, e vice-versa. Ela é uma aplicação da lei da conservação da energia para fluidos, indicando que a energia total permanece constante ao longo de uma linha de corrente.
Aplicações em situações de corpos a alta velocidade
Comboios de alta velocidade O mesmo fenómeno ocorre com comboios: ao passarem um pelo outro, o ar entre eles acelera muito; a pressão nessa zona diminui; cria-se uma força que pode puxar os comboios lateralmente.
Quando dois carros passam muito próximos: o ar entre eles é “espremido” e acelera; segundo Bernoulli, a maior velocidade do ar → menor pressão entre os veículos; fora dos carros, a pressão é maior.
Perigos associados à ultrapassagem rodoviária
Perda de controlo O condutor pode sentir o veículo a desviar-se ou a ser sugado: instabilidade da direção dificuldade em manter a trajetória
Aproximação involuntária A diferença de pressão pode “puxar” os veículos um para o outro, aumentando o risco de colisão lateral.
