ARTS & MATHS, an eTwinning project about art and geometry...
AIMS Through this project we wanted that our students develop: -Artistic skills: imagination, creation and artistic knowledge- Better geometric knowledge and practice - Linguisitic skills: improve communicative skills in english - Digital skills: use of digital tools - Social skills: collaboration, discovrering partners' culture and environment to be more open minded
EXPECTED RESULTSAt the end of the project students have learnt more about Art related to Maths, and some painters. They have discovered other countries' environment, they have developed their imagination but also artistic and communicative skills
WORK PROCESS September/October: Let's get known each other + geometry in our schoolsNovember/December: Symmetrical world January/February: Excentric circlesMarch/April: Welcome to Polygonia!May: Evaluation and conclusion

What do they say about the project...
Students have seen maths in an other way, they have experienced it as a game. Many of them have changed their way of thinking about maths.
We had the opportunity to use modern and interactive teaching methods, which increased students' interest and involvement in the activities. The project encouraged creativity, collaboration and interdisciplinary learning, demonstrating that mathematics can be approached in an attractive and practical way through art.
What I liked most about the project was the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and learn new skills. I especially appreciated being part of a team where everyone shared ideas and supported each other.
I enjoyed using math to create original drawings, models, and art projects. Also, collaborating with students and teachers from other schools made the experience more engaging and educational.
Students have learnt some new concepts, they wanted they wanted to show off their beautiful geometric designs, they were outside to do some work
I enjoyed solving problems and seeing how our work developed step by step until the final result
The activities helped students to understand mathematics in a creative and attractive way, by creating drawings, models and artistic works based on geometric shapes and mathematical concepts.
THANK YOU ALL FOR PARTICIPATING!
