About me
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and have fallen in love with the adventure and nature of the desert. Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved the outdoors and every activity that has to do with it! Fishing, Hiking, Hunting, you name it. My lifelong dream is to become a famous architect, and so I am pursuing my goals at the University of Arizona in the B.Arch program. I love trying new things, and following the path that God has provided me!

Illustrator Project #1: Travel Poster
The goal of this project was to recreate a vacation picture and turn it into a travel poster using Adobe Illustrator I utilized a simple generic style to make a simple poster that isn't too imagery-heavy to get the message across. I felt like I did very well at recreating the likeness of the photo, including the train, background, and trees that make this photo a staple. If I had more time, I would've definitely added a few more details and focused more on the shadows to make it more realistic. Using the line tool, I created the jagged edges and simple shapes. Using a layering technique, I make the picture seem like it has depth in the image and makes it feel like you are in the art piece.
Illustrator Project #2: Cityscape
The goal of this project was to implement a monster into a cityscape that we created using Illustrator I wanted to make it seem like a gloomy day, so I chose an opaque brush to add the storm clouds and made the town seem medieval and fantastical to immerse the monster into the scene I really liked the castle and the actual monster attacking it, and I felt like I could add more details to the town below to really show that the scene was under attack I used a variety of brushes and shapes to put the peaks and town together.
Illustrator Project #3: Core Values
This project was designed to reflect my core values and how they shape my personality. For each value, I added details that represent the visual aspect of that word and styled the entire page to reflect my favorite colors. I aligned my top value as the biggest and went smaller as I went down. I would definitely improve upon the background and make it seem more creative, as it feels messy right now. I used the font tools like the effects and texture to really emphasize how much each value means to me and the properties that they encompass.
Photoshop Project #1: Star Wars Movie Poster
The goal was to use Photoshop to recreate a Star Wars movie poster starring us as the main characters. I wanted it to seem like a final battle, with enough to risk the whole entire world as we know it. To accomplish this, I made it in a lava pit and used a rocky background in order to add the darkness and gloom, which reflects the plot of this movie. We used blending and glow aspects to add special effects and lighting to the scene I thought this project looked really well thought out and put together. I could definitely improve upon the poses and outfits to complete the look. We used blending and glow aspects to add special effects and lighting to the scene
Photoshop Project #2: 3D Animal Letter
The goal was to use a Photoshop tutorial and create a graphic of a letter and your animal of choice to blend them together. I chose this picture of my dog because I felt the immersion of the water and the stance of my dog make it perfect to add it into the letter and make the immersive 3D effect. I felt like I made the water and the positioning perfect in order to capture the right moment. However, I would've made the effect and lighting better to fully show the B I used clipping masks and photo adjustments in order to turn the B into the picture and then touch it up to give it the right effect and mood.
Photoshop Project #3: 6 Layers
The goal of this project was to immerse 6 different objects or 'layers' to create a scene in Photoshop The design choices were given to me randomly, but I decided to take advantage of my options by making a sunset lagoon for the ducklings and duplicated multiple objects like the crystals and trees to add more to the frame I really liked how I blended everything together, like the ducklings in the ater and the crystals implanted into the rock, but I could've done a better job at the lighting to make the sunset look like it is actually in the scene. We used the 6 different layers to make an immersive scene, and used the opacity to make it seem like it has always been there
Conclusion
This year, I learned how to use design skills like color, typography, and layout to create better designs. At the beginning, I struggled with Illustrator, but I improved by working and spending more time working with it. I am most proud of my travel poster because it shows my growth as a designer. In the future, I want to improve my skills in effects and lighting and learn more about photography. I am also interested in possibly pursuing Architectural Design as a career or hobby. Overall, this class helped me become more confident in my creativity and my ability to communicate ideas through design.
