Emotions Emotions are like signals inside us that help us understand how we feel at different times and in different situations. Sometimes we feel happy, excited, or proud, while other times we might feel sad, angry, or scared. It’s important to remember that we are in charge of our own feelings. Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and understand these emotions, and to respond to them in a healthy and constructive way. When we manage our emotions well, we can make better decisions, solve problems more effectively, and build stronger, more positive relationships with the people around us.
