Read fun facts about the moon with your mentor!
From Earth, we always see nearly the same side of the Moon.
There are two high tides and two low tides every day on every beach on Earth because of the Moon's gravitational pull.
If Earth did not have its Moon, Earth would spin three times as fast. making a day last only 8 hours instead of 24.
The Moon has almost the same surface area as the continent of Africa.
Our Moon is small in comparison to the size of Earth; the Moon is about ¼ the size of Earth.
Talk Time
Let's talk to each other!
How do you think life on Earth would be different if the moon were not part of our planet's system?
If you could visit the moon and explore its surface, what would be the first thing you'd want to do or discover?
