Dear Mom, Your inspiring letter was very much appreciated and I enjoyed your reminiscing. Gee, it’s really good to hear from you folks back home.
Leaving Monday noon to the U.S.O. in Heidelberg, I just joined someone out there in France. All is well now, gearing up for life in [Heidelberg?] is thinking of you always and always.
Remember yourself, to take good care of yourself. We are doing fine out here somewhere in Italy. The mountainous inclines to the men are very beautiful and impressive. People are very friendly and cheerful. I wish you could witness all this with us.
By the way, Norman, Delores, Sonnie and the rest wish to give you their heartfelt love and aloha. Well, Mom take good care of yourself and good luck. I’ll write again soon. P.S. My regards to Mary Lou, Trudy
