Post-Prom plans

With the unofficial Senior Skip Day landing the Monday after Prom on May 4, some senior groups plan on renting Airbnbs or condos to stay in for the duration of the weekend. However, Senior Skip Day is not an excused absence, so many seniors still plan on attending the school day.

  • Out of the 13.8% of students renting a place to stay, 8.3% rented an Airbnb, with 5% renting a condo.
  • Most of these groups finalized renting plans by April, with many starting plans in February.

Dance information:

Annually organized by the Student Council and its Events Committee, this year's Prom is themed "Enchanted Garden" and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin on Saturday, May 2 at 8 p.m.

  • For the last week, tickets are priced at $90. For guests from other schools, the guest form must be filled out and approved prior to buying a ticket.
  • Tickets will be distributed April 29, April 30 and May 1 during both lunches in the front office.

Top dress shops:

1. Dillard's 2. Windsor 3. Lulu's/Macy's

  • Some other popular options included Hello Molly and Princess Polly, with some students even thrifting or borrowing dresses.

Photo locations

Some photo locations students plan on visiting are Hotel Ella downtown, areas by the 360 Bridge, Zilker Park, and the UT Golf Course in Steiner Ranch.

About 13.3% of people attending Prom reported on planning to hire a professional photographer, with the remainder opting for more casual photos in their groups.
