Run-on sentences have two independent clauses in one sentence without a conjunction. Example: We bought nails we bought a hammer.
Run-on sentences = Grammar Error Fix: Add a conjuction between the two independent clauses!
Sentence 2
I broke the dish I glued it back together.
Fix the run-on sentence

We need to interact with each other we learn collaboratively.
I like turtles I hate fish.
Run-on SentencesWhen using one of the FANBOYS, we need a comma before the conjunction
- Always use your commas!
Sentence combining We can make one complex sentence out of many short sentences that are about the same subject.
Identify the subject(Who/what is it about?)
example:The dancer was not tall.The dancer was not slender The dancer was extremely elegant
Identify the essential info(What do we know about the subject?)
COMBINED SENTENCE:The dancer was not tall or slender, but she was extremely elegant.
Add any necessary conjunctions
The weather was perfect and the girls were playing great soccer.
cOMBINE THE SENTENCES
The weather was perfect. The girls were playing soccer. The girls were playing great.
COMPLEX sENTENCES
A complex sentence is made up of an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses connected to it.
