Crust
The very top layer of the Earth that we walk and build on. It is thin and hard, just like the crust on a piece of bread.
Mantle
The thick, middle layer of the Earth. It is very hot and made of rock that can move very, very slowly—kind of like thick playdough.
Outer Core
A deep layer made of melted metal. It is super hot and flows like a liquid, just like hot, bubbling soup.
Inner Core
The very center of the Earth. Even though it is the hottest part, it is a solid ball of metal because the rest of the Earth is pushing down on it so hard.
