From Porto Airport to the city centre There is a metro line (similar to a tram) between the airport and the city centre:
- At Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, follow the signs for the metro plataform
- Before going to the platform, you need to buy a ticket from a ticket machine
- You need an Andante card (a blue card), which you can load with trips (“zapping”)
- The card costs €0.60
- A trip (Z4 zone) from the airport to the city centre costs €2.25 (plus the €0.60 for the card, only the first time)
- You must validate your card at the yellow machines before entering the metro
You can reuse the card for public transport in Porto by recharging it.
