- Applicants are encouraged to have few to no overdue assignments during the application window.
Leadership & Service Activities
- Service is defined as the positive, selfless contribution to the welfare of others. Some examples include volunteer work completed at school, religious organization, hospital, scouts, or community centers.
- What if you do not have any service activities completed?
You may still apply and describe a plan of service you can provide this year. Seventh graders may also consider looking for opportunities in your local area or virtually, and reapply next year once you have activities to include in your application.
Leadership and Service Log
- Create a document to list any service you have completed. Be sure to describe what you did, how long or how often, and the name and contact information of an adult witness (this should be someone outside of your family whenever possible.)
- This may be in paragraph form or a chart.
Letter of Recommendation
Each candidate must submit a letter of recommendation from someone who can attest to the applicant’s commitment to Service and Leadership, as well as their character. Letters of Recommendation are submitted with the writer’s signature (electronic is acceptable). They can be submitted with your application or sent separately, but they must be received by DATE.
- This letter should be written by someone in the community or school you have known for at least one year who can comment on your commitment to service, the nature of the activities you have participated in, your leadership capabilities, and make comments about your character.
- This cannot be a parent, sibling, or other family member.
A Letter of Recommendation is the only item that may be emailed to Mrs. Rosti.
All other application requirements must be uploaded to the application.
