This persentation is all about
1. Rocks
How do you think rocks are formed?
If you said anything along the lines of cooling, weathering erosion, heat or perssure - then you would be correct !
2. Types of rocks
Types of rocks and how they are formed:
Did you know there are many rocks that are formed in different ways? The three main rock types are: - Sedimentary Rocks - Igneous Rocks - Metamorphic Rocks
3. Types of Rocks
Sedimentary Rocks
Igneous Rocks
Metamorphic Rocks
Igneous Rocks are formed by the cooling of molten rock.
Metamorphic Rocks are formed by pre-existing rocks that are transformed by heat or pressure.
Sedimentary Rocks are formed by small rock pieces being transported in rivers and laid down in layers.
4. The Rock Cycle
Now let's talk about The Rock Cycle!
+ Info
4. The Rock Cycle
The Rock Cycle
The rock cycle is a continuous, geological process that recycles rocks over millions of years, transforming them between three main types: igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic. Driven by plate tectonics and weather, rocks melt into magma, erode into sediment, or experience intense heat and pressure to change form.
